This page was for me probably the hardest one to write. Not because I don’t like to enjoy the things I do – but because I simply don’t spend enough time out.

You can see my photographs on another page – though if only to shake off the beige image I’ve created I’d better tell you about the other things I do.

I’m only a fair weather cyclist, and don’t claim to be able to peddle the distance, but every bit of exercise is good. What I can claim is that I’m having a great time whether it’s travelling long haul, staying in the best of hotels or roughing it in the most basic of tents.

The last 2 years I’ve managed to tip over a few boats in the salty seas of the Mediterranean, and sailing has been a newer experience – greatly improved by learning in the sunshine rather than a drizzly Saturday afternoon in Derbyshire.
